Tottenham’s attack has been underwhelming this season.
Tottenham Hotspur worked hard during the recent winter transfer window to bring in a new wide forward. They were so confident that they even allowed Brennan Johnson to be sold to Crystal Palace.
However, no winger arrived, and with Kudus injured, Tottenham now has limited options on the wings.
This need for a new winger must be addressed in the summer transfer window, as supporters are eager for impactful signings.
One target Tottenham pursued in January was Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. This transfer didn’t happen mainly due to the high price Leipzig set for the 19-year-old, who has recorded 12 goals and assists in the Bundesliga this season.
Reports suggest that Leipzig could ask for over £80 million, possibly reaching around £87 million for the Ivory Coast international. This is a significant amount that Tottenham may find difficult to match, though Romano has downplayed any worries regarding competition.
Fabrizio Romano discusses Yan Diomande transfer prospects
In a recent update, Fabrizio Romano mentioned on his YouTube channel that while competition for Diomande will be tough, Tottenham remains a serious contender for his signature.
He stated: “I think it’s going to be an interesting summer for Yan Diomande. There is a lot of attention on him.”
“I will provide more updates soon, but I believe Bayern, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Paris Saint-Germain are all keeping an eye on the player.”
