The end of an era has arrived for Real Madrid as the club prepares to conclude its second consecutive season without any silverware. Major changes are anticipated this summer, including the departure of one of its most iconic players.

In an official statement, Real Madrid announced that Spanish full-back Dani Carvajal will leave the club at the end of this season. “Real Madrid and our captain Dani Carvajal have agreed to bring to an end an extraordinary chapter of his career with our club at the conclusion of this season. Real Madrid would like to express its gratitude and deepest affection to one of the greatest legends in the history of our club and world football,” the statement read.

Carvajal joined Real Madrid in 2002 and has spent a total of 23 seasons with the club, including 10 years in the youth ranks and 13 with the first team. Throughout his illustrious career, he has secured 27 trophies, which include six European Cups, six Club World Cups, five UEFA Super Cups, four La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey trophies, and four Spanish Super Cups. He has made 450 appearances for Los Blancos, scoring 14 goals.

Additionally, it has been reported that Real Madrid has made decisions regarding its head coach for the upcoming season, opting to bring back a former manager rather than retaining the current interim coach, Álvaro Arbeloa.
