The forward eyeing exit from Tottenham; wants a Saudi/Turkey move.
Tottenham Hotspur is getting a clearer picture of Richarlison’s future, based on new reports from Brazil about his preferences and potential next steps.
Bruno Andrade from ESPN Brazil states that Richarlison is attracting interest from various clubs, but this does not guarantee a move. His decision will be influenced by personal choices and fitness issues, as well as Tottenham’s willingness to sell.
Importantly, Richarlison prefers not to return to Brazil. While Flamengo is looking into his situation, ESPN mentions that he would prefer to play overseas. Two countries stand out for him: Turkey and Saudi Arabia, with Turkey being the more likely option due to Saudi clubs reassessing their spending.
Summer 2026
Brazil isn’t completely ruled out, though. Flamengo has a chance to pursue him if they are willing to pay a fixed fee of €25 million, as Richarlison has an agreement with Tottenham to leave after the World Cup at that price. He is open to negotiations with Flamengo if they meet his valuation, simplifying the process.
From Flamengo’s side, financially it makes sense. Richarlison would be a significant signing for them both commercially and in terms of performance if they decide to proceed.
However, injuries continue to be a concern. Richarlison is currently sidelined and expected to return only in the final part of the 2025-26 season. His injury issues have been a recurring problem during his time at Spurs, affecting how both he and the club view the future. He remains under contract with Spurs until 2027. (Transfermarkt)
