• Juventus, playing with ten men, equalized the match at 5-5, but Galatasaray advanced 7-5 overall.

  • Manuel Locatelli scored a penalty, and goals from Federico Gatti and Weston McKennie pushed the game into extra time.

  • Victor Osimhen scored, and Baris Yilmaz confirmed the win for Galatasaray in the final minutes.

Galatasaray moved into the Champions League last 16 despite losing 3-2 to Juventus in the second leg, winning 7-5 on aggregate.

Coach Luciano Spalletti’s team managed to extend the match beyond regulation time, overcoming a 5-2 first-leg deficit to tie the score at 5-5 in Turin, even after Lloyd Kelly received a red card. However, their 3-2 victory at Allianz Stadium was not enough to keep them in the tournament.

Kenan Yildiz posed an early threat with shots that required saves from Ugurcan Cakir. Juventus got on the scoreboard first when Lucas Torreira fouled Khephren Thuram in the penalty area, allowing Manuel Locatelli to score from the spot.

Juventus faced a major setback when Kelly was shown a second yellow card in the 49th minute following a VAR review of a previous straight red card, after he fell awkwardly on Baris Yilmaz.

Despite this, Federico Gatti equalized with a tap-in from a deflected cross in the 70th minute, and Weston McKennie headed in the tying goal from a pass by Teun Koopmeiners eight minutes before the end.

Juventus had a chance to go ahead 4-3 in extra time when McKennie set up Edon Zhegrova, but Zhegrova missed the target after a poor dive from Cakir.

This miss became crucial as Victor Osimhen scored through Mattia Perin’s legs just before the halftime mark in extra time. Yilmaz then sealed the tie for Galatasaray in the 119th minute.
