Juventus is currently struggling in Serie A and has just faced a disappointing exit from the Champions League against Galatasaray. However, the club is not planning to dismiss Luciano Spalletti, their current manager.
After the match, Giorgio Chiellini, Juventus’s Director of Football and former center back, assured reporters at Sky Sport Italia, through Fabrizio Romano, that the decision to keep Spalletti has not changed despite the recent defeat. Chiellini stated, “A new deal for Luciano Spalletti has never been in doubt. It’s among our priorities. We will meet soon to discuss deal details.”
Juve showed determination in the second leg against Galatasaray, almost staging a comeback in front of their home supporters. Despite taking a 3-0 lead, they ended up drawing the match 5-5 as Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen scored emphatically.
Playing with 10 men was a significant hurdle for Juve, who faced a tough fight against Galatasaray, yet Spalletti’s efforts in making the team competitive, even in the face of adversity, have elevated his standing within the club.
Since Max Allegri’s first term at Juventus, the club has had multiple managerial changes. They have hired and dismissed Maurizio Sarri, who won Serie A, Andrea Pirlo, who claimed the Coppa Italia, Allegri again, Thiago Motta, and Igor Tudor.
