Tottenham faces serious relegation concerns.
Tottenham Hotspur is currently involved in a relegation fight, with just two points above 17th-placed Nottingham Forest and four points ahead of 18th-placed West Ham United.
Last weekend, Spurs suffered a 4-1 defeat to Arsenal at home, leaving them in 16th position in the league. Interim manager Igor Tudor has faced a tough start in English football, and the heavy loss highlighted the challenges ahead. The risk of relegation to the Championship has become a real concern, something that seemed unlikely just a few months ago.
Tudor must break Tottenham’s nine-game winless streak in the Premier League when they take on Fulham on Sunday. The team has not secured any league victories in 2026, prompting fear among some supporters about the threat of relegation.
Roy Keane comments on Tottenham’s chances of staying up
This week, ESPN FC analyst Don Hutchinson shared his thoughts on Tottenham’s relegation prospects. Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane also weighed in. While he doesn’t think Spurs are “too good to go down,” he believes they will perform better than West Ham and Nottingham Forest in the crucial matches ahead.
“I still think they’ll be alright,” Roy Keane stated on The Overlap.
“I don’t buy into the idea that they’re too good to be relegated, but I believe they’ll have a bit more than Nottingham Forest and West Ham. It’s as straightforward as that.”
“West Ham seems to have some momentum, and Forest suffered a tough loss against Liverpool. Such events can shift the dynamics quickly. However, I still think Tottenham will manage to stay up.”
