Arsenal remains at the top of the Premier League, but with Manchester City closing in, they know they need to strengthen the squad in the summer 2026 transfer window.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, through Eduardo Hagn, reports that Arsenal is looking to fill three key positions: a winger, a center midfielder, and a young right back.
Each of these positions is logical. While Arsenal has Noni Madueke on the right wing and promising talents like Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, they have lacked a standout left winger for some time.
If a player like Rodrygo Goes or Nico Williams becomes available from La Liga in the summer of 2026, Arsenal could make a significant move.
Bringing in a young right back to challenge current player Jurrien Timber makes sense, particularly if they seek someone with an attacking style to complement Saka’s play.
Moreover, despite having a strong center midfield duo in Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi, along with capable backups Mikel Merino and Christian Norgaard, manager Mikel Arteta is always looking to improve. Keep an eye on Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali as a potential target.
