On Thursday night, Houston Rockets player Kevin Durant marked a significant achievement for the 73rd time in his career.

Durant scored 40 points in Houston’s 113-108 victory over the Magic in Orlando, marking his first 40-point game with the Rockets. His scoring came with impressive efficiency.

He shot 50% from the field, hitting 14 of 28 shots in 40 minutes, including two three-pointers. Additionally, Durant contributed eight rebounds and three assists during the game.

Last 40-point game nearly a year ago

Durant’s first 40-point performance with the Rockets was his first since March 21 of last year, when he scored 42 points as a member of the Phoenix Suns.

Before Thursday’s game, his highest score this season with Houston was 39 points, achieved in a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on January 16.
