Former Eintracht Frankfurt Manager Linked to Tottenham.
After firing Thomas Frank, Tottenham Hotspur considered their next move, choosing to hire a temporary manager until summer. They have appointed Igor Tudor as an interim manager.
Igor Tudor’s debut with Tottenham did not go as planned; the team suffered a 4-1 defeat at home against rivals Arsenal in the North London derby. Tudor now aims for a win against Fulham on Sunday. Former Arsenal player Ian Wright believes the Tottenham players may have mentally checked out after their recent loss, but Tudor is optimistic the club will remain in the Premier League by season’s end.
Tottenham is in urgent need of their first Premier League win of 2026. Currently, they sit four points above the relegation zone with 11 matches to play. While sporting director Johan Lange mentioned that “Tudor could be here for a long time,” senior officials are still looking for a permanent manager for the summer.
Tottenham Approaches Niko Kovac
Reports from BILD indicate that Tottenham has contacted Borussia Dortmund‘s manager, Niko Kovac, as they consider making him their next permanent head coach.
Despite Borussia Dortmund’s recent exit from the Champions League against Atalanta, the club intends to keep Kovac as head coach until his contract expires in 2027, following a recent extension.
Kovac has successfully maximized the potential of the Dortmund squad, leading them to one of their best Bundesliga seasons since Jurgen Klopp’s time. His approach has garnered attention from Spurs officials.
The 54-year-old has introduced a strong work ethic and intense pressing game, which has motivated the players to elevate their performance, placing Dortmund comfortably in second place in the Bundesliga. This effectiveness makes him a strong candidate to lead Tottenham from the 2026/27 season.
However, convincing Kovac to join the Tottenham project might be challenging, considering Dortmund’s commitment to retaining him through next year.
