Tottenham’s interim boss Igor Tudor still looking for first win.

There have been talks about who might take over as the long-term coach for Thomas Frank at Hotspur Way. With Igor Tudor currently filling the interim role, he seems to be struggling in his position at Tottenham.

If he manages to improve the team’s performance, he could be considered for a permanent role, but that seems unlikely at this stage.

Bournemouth’s Iraola not leading candidate for Hotspur Way?

While several coaches are being mentioned as possible candidates, Bournemouth’s manager Andoni Iraola may not be at the top of Tottenham’s list. Senior transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke notes that Iraola’s name appears to be falling down the shortlist.

O’Rourke stated: “Bournemouth is becoming more optimistic about convincing Iraola to stay. He will be out of contract at the end of the season, attracting interest from multiple clubs, both in the Premier League and abroad, particularly in Spain.”

“Although he was linked with the Tottenham job, it seems he’s not currently among the leading candidates. If opportunities don’t arise, Iraola may be pleased to remain at Bournemouth and build on his recent success.”

Real Madrid‘s interest may complicate things for Poch and Tottenham

Before Thomas Frank was let go, Iraola was one of the main targets for the managerial role at Tottenham. Now, he appears to be alongside Mauricio Pochettino and Roberto De Zerbi on a new shortlist, but the situation is changing.

Pochettino, currently coaching the U.S. team for the World Cup, is being linked with a return to Tottenham. However, Real Madrid has also shown interest, complicating the matter.

De Zerbi might consider returning to the Premier League but prefers a move to Manchester United if they look beyond Carrick.

Current Situation on Iraola

Iraola’s contract at Bournemouth is nearing its end, and his high reputation has drawn attention from clubs, including Tottenham. However, Bournemouth is reportedly confident they can convince him to renew his contract, with O’Rourke mentioning that he’s not currently a frontrunner for the Tottenham job.

If no top-tier alternatives come for him, he may continue to develop his project at Bournemouth.

The situation remains fluid, and while there’s still a chance he could be interested in Tottenham, it seems it might boil down to a choice between De Zerbi and Pochettino.
