Inter Miami CF visited the White House this week to celebrate their Major League Soccer achievements.

Players and staff, including club captain Lionel Messi, were present in the East Room for the event, where former President Donald Trump spoke to the team.

One significant absence was David Beckham, co-owner of the club, who did not attend.

His absence led to speculation, given his important role in the club. However, the reason is clear.

According to CNN’s Kit Maher, a White House official stated that Beckham could not be there as he is in Europe supporting his wife.

Beckham traveled to Paris for Victoria Beckham’s runway show at Paris Fashion Week, where she is presenting her Fall/Winter 2026 collection.

The former Manchester United player shared a photo on social media earlier, posing by Notre-Dame Cathedral and expressing his joy at being back in Paris.

During the event in Washington, Messi was the highlight, with the US president mentioning that his son Barron is a fan of the Argentine star.

Beckham’s absence comes during a busy time for his family.

Recently, there have been reports of tensions with his eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, who spoke out about family issues involving his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.

Outside of personal matters, Beckham is also active in business.

He recently sold a luxury property valued at around £21.3 million, continuing to grow his investment portfolio.

For now, Beckham seems focused on backing Victoria’s fashion project in Paris while Inter Miami celebrates their achievements in the US.
