Marcus Rashford is nearing the end of his loan at Barcelona, where he has received mostly positive feedback during his time.

The winger, who developed at Manchester United, has played 37 times for Barcelona this season, scoring ten goals and providing ten assists.

However, the 28-year-old hasn’t scored or assisted in his last six matches, impacting his hopes of a permanent move to Barcelona.

In his most recent match against Athletic Club, he was substituted after 62 minutes for Raphinha.

During his time on the pitch, Rashford recorded one shot, 35 touches, and two passes into the final third.

He did not win any aerial or ground duels and failed to complete a successful dribble.

The Spanish media have reacted to his performance, analyzing his contributions.

AS remarked that Rashford is relying on “maintaining his mediocre form,” describing his performance as “disastrous.”

Further in their review, AS noted Rashford’s poor showing, stating: “The English striker continues to show many weaknesses.”

They added that some are questioning whether spending €30 million on him this summer is worthwhile.

Rashford failed to leverage his speed or finishing skills, delivering a performance that disappointed many.

Mundo Deportivo commented that after five games without starting—two due to injury—Rashford did not take advantage of his starting chance.

They said he had a presence but contributed little, lacking accurate crosses or clear scoring opportunities.

Finally, Sport said, “The Briton was quite lackluster, unable to get past his marker, losing possession often, and looking uncomfortable.”

With these unfavorable reviews, attention now turns to Rashford’s upcoming match against Newcastle United in the Champions League.
