Manchester United is working on its long-term sports plan as the club prepares for the next stage of its rebuild.

This season, United has been in the spotlight for its transfers, with players like Benjamin Sesko, Senne Lammens, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo making a notable impact at Old Trafford.

The club’s recruitment strategy is being closely examined as INEOS continues to adjust the squad.

United’s planning for the squad includes more than just immediate signings.

The club plans to be active in the upcoming transfer window, focusing on strengthening the midfield, with players like Sandro Tonali being mentioned as potential targets.

Additionally, Manchester United scouts are tracking emerging talents across Europe.

Fabrizio Romano recently reported that club representatives were present at RB Leipzig’s match against Augsburg to observe promising winger Yan Diomande.

While these recruitment efforts are ongoing, a new report has revealed the estimated overall value of Manchester United’s current squad.

According to the CIES Football Observatory, Manchester United has the ninth most valuable squad in world football for the 2025/26 season.

The study estimates the total transfer value of United’s players to be around €829 million, placing them behind clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.

Chelsea leads the global list with a squad value estimated at €1.732 billion, closely followed by Manchester City (€1.608 billion) and Real Madrid (€1.541 billion).

The report also indicates that Benjamin Sesko is currently the most valuable player in Manchester United’s squad, with an estimated value of €87.3 million according to the analysis model.

The CIES Football Observatory calculated these rankings using a statistical model that estimates transfer values based on performance data, age, contract length, and various market indicators for players in over 70 leagues worldwide.

While United remains one of the most valuable squads globally, these figures highlight the financial strength of several Premier League rivals.
