Igor Tudor Faces Pressure After Tottenham’s Losses
Igor Tudor, Tottenham Hotspur’s interim boss, is under significant pressure after four consecutive losses. The recent defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League highlights a broader issue, as the team has not won in seven matches, six of which were in the Premier League, putting them in a relegation fight.
Since taking over from Thomas Frank in February, Tudor has struggled to find success. His time at the club has been disappointing, with no positive results during his brief stint.
Many believe Tudor’s appointment has been a mistake, leaving Tottenham’s board in a difficult position. Rather than improving the team, the squad appears to have worsened under his leadership.
Future Uncertain for Igor Tudor
Journalists Damir Dobrinic and Tvrtko Puljic have reported that Tudor may not hold his position much longer at Tottenham. They expressed their disapproval of his decisions and suggested that “today” might be his last day as coach.
“Today may be the last day that Tudor will be the coach,” said Dobrinic.
“The pressure is terrible; the club’s legends are saying that Tudor is a failure.”
Puljic added: “We need to look back at Tudor’s initial decision to take the role.”
“Accepting an offer from a top club like Tottenham is hard to refuse, but Tudor should have known it might not last long.”
Tudor’s Tenure May End Soon
Spurs are currently on a six-game losing streak across all competitions and have not won in nine matches. Tudor, who was expected to bring a positive change, has struggled to motivate the team. They sit just a point above the relegation zone.
Former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson stated after the Atletico match that Tudor was not the right fit for the job. Tottenham legend Teddy Sheringham warned that if Tudor remains, the club could be headed for relegation. Given Tudor’s performance so far, these concerns seem valid.
With Tudor failing to turn things around and showing limited progress, it seems likely that the board will consider a new manager for the third time this season.
