The manager in question has been heavily linked with a return to Tottenham.

Tottenham made a questionable decision when they dismissed Ange Postecoglou just days after he ended the club’s long wait for a trophy last season. The team had finally discovered a manager who fostered a winning atmosphere, much to the fans’ approval. Yet, Daniel Levy and the club’s management felt that the Europa League victory did not justify keeping Postecoglou for a third season.

The decision to part ways with Postecoglou was not well received by supporters. He had promised at the start of the last season to win a major trophy, and he delivered by breaking a 17-year drought for the club.

The former Celtic manager was swiftly replaced by Thomas Frank as the club aimed to build on their Europa League success. Frank also promised to help the team compete better this season and to narrow the gap with their rivals. However, he struggled to meet those expectations, leading to his dismissal after winning only two of his last 17 league matches.

Tottenham will not rehire Ange Postecoglou amid managerial uncertainty

Following Thomas Frank’s departure, Tottenham appointed an interim manager to focus on preventing relegation this season. Currently, Igor Tudor, the interim boss, is finding it difficult to stabilize the team, as Spurs sit just one point above the relegation zone in the Premier League.

Recent reports indicate that the club is considering the possibility of rehiring Ange Postecoglou in the near future. Postecoglou has been without a job since being let go by Nottingham Forest earlier this season. He has also left the possibility of a return open by not providing a clear statement regarding his future. Consequently, Tottenham may look into bringing the former manager back if they decide to part ways with Igor Tudor.
