Kylian Mbappe has sparked discussion about Neymar’s future with the Brazil national team.
The two players were teammates at PSG for five years, creating a powerful attacking duo before their relationship soured.

When asked about Neymar’s chances of being selected for Brazil’s 2026 World Cup team, Mbappe responded thoughtfully.
“I think both Neymar and Vinicius Jr. can be part of the team. Vinicius has to improve further, but Neymar is an exceptional player,” he told GE TV.
“The World Cup is for stars, and Neymar is one of the biggest. It wouldn’t feel right without him, but ultimately the decision is up to my former coach, Ancelotti.”
Mbappe recognized Neymar’s significant impact despite their past issues.
“Neymar is a player who can change games. I learned a lot from him. I believe he will prepare well for the World Cup and be part of it.”
Carlo Ancelotti addresses Neymar’s criticism
Carlo Ancelotti spoke about the criticism surrounding Neymar’s lack of appearances in recent Brazil squads before their match against France.
“I pay attention to everything. It’s normal for people to have opinions in football, and everyone is entitled to their view. I respect these opinions,” he said.
The Brazil manager, confident at 66 years old, noted that external pressure does not bother him.
