Dallas Mavericks coach Jason Kidd responded strongly to recent comments by Mark Cuban, who suggested Kidd played a role in the trade of Luka Doncic.

Kidd seemed frustrated with the ongoing discussion about the Doncic trade and how it impacted the Mavericks. He expressed his desire to move forward during a press conference.

“When are we going to move on?” Kidd said Tuesday, according to Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News. “We have to move forward. We’re focused on the present and the future and we’ve got an incredible opportunity to build.”

Cuban, in a recent interview, expressed regret over selling the Mavericks and highlighted his disappointment in how “our coach and our general manager” handled the Doncic trade. His mention of Kidd suggested that the coach had a significant role in the decision.

Kidd has a valid point; the trade is not going to be undone, and everyone has already shared their views on it. At this stage, there isn’t much more to discuss, and Kidd is right to want to focus on his coaching duties.
