Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has confirmed that the team is in good health ahead of their highly anticipated clash against Kaizer Chiefs this Sunday at FNB Stadium. Ncikazi stated that only two players, Thapelo Xoki and Sihle Nduli, are sidelined with long-term injuries, while the rest of the squad is fit for selection.

During a media briefing, Ncikazi noted, “I haven’t seen anybody new also in the doctor’s bed. I think we will have a clean bill of health except for the two main injuries that are known.” This comes as Pirates aim to strengthen their position in the Betway Premiership, where they currently hold the top spot with 58 points, two ahead of rivals Mamelodi Sundowns, albeit having played two additional matches.

The last encounter between Pirates and Chiefs saw Pirates dominate with a convincing 3-0 victory. Both teams have shown impressive form leading up to the derby, with Chiefs remaining unbeaten in their last six outings, while Pirates focus on closing in on the league title.
