Manchester United Unveils New Away Kit for 2026/27 Season
The wait for next season’s Manchester United away kit is over, and it’s a striking change from the current strip.
Out goes the predominantly white away shirt of 2025/26, and in comes bright royal blue, with red and white applications running across the design for contrast.
Thanks once more to FootyHeadlines, the first images of the new Adidas Manchester United away kit for 2026/27 are now in public view, following the leaks of the home shirt earlier this month.

It’s a bold colour switch, but one rooted firmly in United’s history.

The shade takes direct inspiration from the vivid blue away shirts worn between 1985 and 1990, the Adidas and Sharp era that produced some of the most distinctive kits in the club’s modern history.

Those late-1980s shirts were known for their bold hues and clean, simple designs, and the new release leans into both.

That throwback instinct is becoming a hallmark of United’s recent kit releases.

The current third kit pays homage to the black and yellow strip of the mid-1990s, while the 2026/27 home shirt is built around the Admiral designs worn between 1975 and 1980.

The away kit completes the picture, pulling from a different decade but the same instinct, heritage as a design language.

Fitting the throwback feel, the kit comes with the classic Adidas Trefoil logo rather than the standard three-stripe Performance mark, a deliberate nod to the branding worn during that 1985–1990 period.

A subtle wave design rounds off the look, giving the shirt a modern finish without disturbing the heritage feel.

As with the home kit, fans can expect the white Snapdragon logo in the centre alongside the Manchester United crest.

The Adidas Manchester United 2026/27 away jersey is set to be available from late July or early August 2026, in time for the start of the new Premier League and, hopefully, European campaigns.
