Ronaldo Shines as Al Nassr Gains Momentum in Saudi Pro League Title Race

Manchester United supporters continue to follow Cristiano Ronaldo’s impressive career as the veteran forward showcases remarkable performance even in his forties. This week, he played a key role in helping Al Nassr strengthen its lead at the top of the Saudi Pro League table.

With the title race intensifying, Al Nassr secured a vital 4-2 victory over Al Shabab, moving five points clear of Al Hilal.

The match was notably influenced by Joao Felix, who scored twice within the opening 10 minutes, giving Al Nassr an early advantage. Former Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco managed to pull one back before halftime, but Ronaldo took center stage again in the second half.

Cristiano Ronaldo Reaches 100 League Goals for Al-Nassr

Arriving at the near post, the 41-year-old converted a cross from Sadio Mane, marking his 100th league goal in Saudi Arabia and the 971st of his remarkable senior career. This also brought his league score for the current campaign to 26, showcasing his ongoing consistency since moving to the Middle East.

Ronaldo’s league goal totals in Saudi Arabia have steadily increased over the seasons, starting with 14 in 2022/23, followed by 35 in 2023/24, and a tally of 25 in 2024/25. He has already surpassed that achievement this season with 26 goals.

In total, Ronaldo has scored 127 goals for Al Nassr since joining the club after his departure from Manchester United in late 2022.

Reports indicate that the club is evaluating whether Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. is ready to advance within their development structure. A final decision regarding his progression is anticipated at the end of the season, following technical assessments by the club.

The potential of Ronaldo sharing the professional pitch with his son has become a significant topic of conversation as he approaches the twilight of his career. Off the pitch, the former Manchester United star continues to thrive commercially, ranking third on Sportico’s list of all-time highest-earning athletes with inflation-adjusted earnings of $2.52 billion.

Though Ronaldo’s legendary career may be nearing its end, he remains a record-breaker and a dominant figure in the world of football.
