Fede Valverde Addresses Real Madrid‘s Internal Tensions

Speaking via Fabrizio Romano on X, Valverde expressed regret over recent events.

“I’m sorry. I’m truly sorry because this situation hurts me, this moment we’re going through is painful. Real Madrid is one of the most important things in my life and I can’t be indifferent to it,” Valverde stated.

He added, “The result is accumulation of things that culminate in a senseless fight, damaging my image and leaving room for doubt that they will add fuel to the fire of an accident.”

The apology highlights how much the situation has affected him personally, while also acknowledging that the incident has added to the noise surrounding the club.

It reflects a wider sense of frustration within the squad as expectations have not been met.

Champions League Exit and Frustration Drive Valverde’s Statement

Valverde further explained why he had chosen to remain silent until now.

“I wasn’t going to speak out until the end of the season. We were eliminated from the Champions League, and I kept my anger and resentment to myself,” he explained.

“We’ve wasted another year, and I wasn’t in a position to be posting on social media when the only face I had to show was on the field, and I feel that’s what I did,” the Real Madrid captain added.

The Champions League exit proved to be a turning point for the team. Real Madrid faced elimination in the quarter-finals, and this disappointment lingered into the final stretch of the season, where they also fell behind in the La Liga title race.

This frustration has reportedly led to multiple disagreements within the dressing room, escalating tensions during a season that may end without major silverware.

The incident involving Valverde and Tchouameni is now being viewed as part of a broader issue rather than an isolated event.

For Valverde, the apology serves as an attempt to bring clarity, while also emphasizing the challenges this period has posed for Real Madrid.
