Carlo Ancelotti will continue as head coach of the Brazilian national football team, the Seleção, following the announcement of a contract extension today. The news was confirmed on the official social media page of the Brazilian national team on X.
The new agreement, which will keep Ancelotti at the helm until 2030, also includes improved financial terms for the 66-year-old Italian coach. Significantly, he will remain with the team beyond the upcoming World Cup, regardless of the team’s performance in the tournament.
Ancelotti assumed leadership of the Seleção in May of last year and has managed the team in 10 matches, achieving 5 wins, 2 draws, and 3 defeats. Brazil is set to compete in Group C at the World Cup, facing off against Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland.
