Tottenham Targets Fiorentina Midfielder Nicolò Fagioli as Summer Transfer Window Approaches
Tottenham Hotspur is keen on enhancing its midfield options this summer, turning its attention once again to Serie A. Fiorentina midfielder Nicolò Fagioli has emerged as a significant target for the club.
Fagioli Changes Agents Ahead of Summer Transfer Window
As Spurs look to bolster their squad, head coach Roberto De Zerbi has shown interest in Fagioli, who is also linked to Newcastle United.

Typically, such agent changes just before a transfer window suggest that a player may be seeking a move away from their current club or aiming for a new contract. In Fagioli’s case, the latter seems likely. Branchini is a well-connected agent in European football, and his influence could facilitate a potential move to the Premier League.
Earlier today, reports indicated that Tottenham is seriously interested in acquiring Fagioli, highlighting that De Zerbi is eager to engage with Serie A teams as summer approaches. This change of agency further suggests that Fagioli might be preparing for a transfer.
However, it is worth noting that Fagioli has not pushed for a transfer at this time. Yet, his choice of agent just ahead of a summer window in which several Premier League clubs are expected to compete for his signature seems significant.
Fabio Paratici Involved in the Negotiations
Tottenham has an inside track for signing Fagioli, with Fiorentina’s sporting director Fabio Paratici already familiar with the decision-makers at Hotspur Way. Nevertheless, he is also keen on retaining the player. Still, Fiorentina’s stance may become flexible if a reasonable offer is presented for Fagioli, who has played a crucial role in their squad this season.
Currently, Fagioli earns €1.8 million per season, which is relatively low for a midfielder in Serie A. A lucrative offer from the Premier League is likely to tempt him, and Tottenham certainly has the financial capacity to make such a move.
