Michael Carrick is poised to extend his contract with Manchester United, as the club’s management has made a key decision regarding their head coach.

Details: As reported by The Athletic journalist Laurie Whitwell on his X social media page, the club plans to sign a new contract with the 44-year-old Carrick very soon.

Current reports suggest that Carrick’s new deal will last until 2028, with an option for an additional year. Furthermore, he will keep his entire coaching staff and may potentially welcome set-piece specialist Andreas Georgson back to the team.

Carrick has been at the helm of Manchester United since January, following the departure of Ruben Amorim. Since taking charge, he has led the team through 15 matches, securing 10 wins, 3 draws, and only 2 losses.
