Real Madrid’s 21-year-old centre-back Dean Huijsen may not be included in Spain’s World Cup squad. The young defender has reportedly failed to impress La Roja’s head coach Luis de la Fuente, as stated by AS Diario.
Currently, only Aymeric Laporte and Pau Cubarsí are regarded as key choices for the defensive positions, leaving the competition for the remaining two spots highly contested. Players vying for selection alongside Huijsen include Pubill, Jon Martin, Mosquera, Le Normand, Eric Garcia, and Vivian.
During the current season, Huijsen has appeared in 38 matches for Real Madrid across all competitions, managing to score two goals and provide two assists.
