Kaizer Chiefs head coach Cedric Kaze has expressed his desire for goalkeeper Brandon Peterson to be included in the Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming World Cup. Kaze has provided national team coach Hugo Broos with Peterson’s profile, advocating for his selection to represent South Africa in the tournament set to be held in the USA.

Kaze believes that Peterson, a former Bidvest Wits player, has proven himself to be a crucial player for the Chiefs this season, making significant contributions to the team’s performance. His skills were on full display during the recent 1-0 victory against AmaZulu in a Betway Premiership match.

In comments following the game at Moses Mabhida Stadium, Kaze emphasized, “I just wish to see Brendon Petersen going to the World Cup because he deserves it by the qualities that he has shown and as well the consistency that he has shown throughout the season.” He noted that regular playing time has positively impacted the goalkeeper’s performance this season compared to the last.
