Lamine Ndiaye has made history by leading USM Alger to victory in the 2025–2026 CAF Confederation Cup, solidifying his status as one of the few African managers to achieve a continental double.
The Senegalese coach and his team secured the title by defeating Zamalek SC on Saturday, 16 May. This milestone reflects Ndiaye’s significant contribution to African football and underscores his coaching prowess.
Prior to this victory, Ndiaye won the CAF Champions League with TP Mazembe in 2010. With this latest success, he becomes the fifth African football manager to accomplish the rare feat of winning both prestigious competitions.
Ndiaye joins a distinguished group that includes Faouzi Benzarti, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio, Houssine Ammouta, and Moine Chaabani in this exclusive achievement.
