Manchester United Prepares for Season Finale Against Brighton

Manchester United’s Premier League campaign is set to conclude tomorrow as the Red Devils face off against Brighton and Hove Albion.

United, who have already secured Champions League qualification, will look to end the season strongly, though they cannot gain or lose any positions in the standings.

Bruno Fernandes has a personal milestone to pursue, as he equaled the league assists record of twenty against Nottingham Forest, a mark he aims to better against the Seagulls.

Injuries continue to impact both teams, even at this late stage of the season.

Matthijs de Ligt will miss the match after undergoing surgery to address back issues that have plagued him for much of the season.

Benjamin Sesko will also be absent as he recovers from an injury sustained during the game against Liverpool at Old Trafford.

Brighton faces its own injury troubles, with Kaoru Mitoma, Stefanos Tzimas, and Adam Webster all set to miss the game.

However, the Seagulls have received a major defensive boost, with manager Fabian Hurzeler confirming that right-back Mats Wieffer will be back in contention.

Confirming the news to the press via Brighton’s official website, Hurzeler stated: “No new injury concerns, so that’s positive.

“Mats Wieffer is an option to come back. And all the other players, they are available.”

Wieffer has featured 25 times for Albion this season and started Brighton’s visit to Old Trafford in late October but was injured during the side’s trip to Newcastle United on Saturday, May 2nd.

Joel Veltman has filled in at right-back during his absence, but it remains to be seen whether Hurzeler will choose to start Wieffer for the upcoming match.
