UEFA is set to implement significant changes to the Nations League, aiming to revamp the tournament into a new format in the near future.

The proposed revisions will see a shift from four divisions to three, each consisting of 18 teams. Each division will be divided into three groups of six teams, allowing nations to compete in six matches against five different opponents.

Among the 55 participating teams, League C will feature one group of seven teams, meaning these nations will begin their schedules one international window earlier than others.

Despite the changes in structure, the formats for the quarter-finals, the Finals tournament, and promotion/relegation play-offs will remain unchanged. UEFA is currently finalizing the details before seeking official approval for the new format.
