Atalanta’s coach, Raffaele Palladino, has confirmed the possibility of a transfer for midfielder Ederson during a post-match press conference. This announcement followed Atalanta’s Serie A match against Fiorentina, which concluded in a 1-1 draw.
Palladino addressed Ederson’s absence from the squad, citing ongoing negotiations regarding his potential move to a top club as the reason for his exclusion. The discussions have brought attention to a prospective transfer that may have significant implications for the player and the club.
According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Ederson is reportedly on the verge of finalizing a transfer to Manchester United for €45 million. The Brazilian midfielder is expected to sign a contract running until 2031, indicating a long-term commitment from the Premier League club.
In the recently concluded 2025/26 season, Ederson made 41 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists, highlighting his contributions to Atalanta’s campaign.
