Milan has officially identified its primary candidate for the head coach position, naming Rúben Amorim as their top choice. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club’s management reached this decision following renewed discussions, with Amorim now surpassing other contenders.

The Portuguese coach has emerged as the favored option amid the Rossoneri’s plans for a significant project overhaul. Club owners, led by Gerry Cardinale, are aiming for long-term stability following a disappointing season.

Reports suggest that Milan has prepared an offer for Amorim, which includes a two-year contract with the option for a third. The club is looking to implement a new tactical identity characterized by intense pressing, a high defensive line, and efficient ball recovery.

Other candidates in consideration were Matthias Jaissle from Al-Ahli and Álvaro Arbeloa, who recently departed from the Real Madrid system.
