The manager of the Lions of Teranga expressed confidence in his team’s ability to compete against the formidable French side ahead of their match at the World Cup, which is currently being held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Addressing the media during a press conference on Monday, June 15, he underscored the importance of preparation in the lead-up to the crucial game.

As Senegal prepares to face France on Tuesday, June 16, Pape Thiaw acknowledged the exceptional talent within the French roster. However, he emphasized that Senegal also possesses a capable squad ready to make an impact on the pitch.

“The warm-up matches have served us well. We know we’ll be up against a very good team; we’re heading into a very difficult match, but we’re prepared. France have world-class players, but so do we. We’re relying on our team spirit, and we hope we’ll be up to the task tomorrow,” Thiaw stated.
