The competition for top-class midfielders is intensifying as Tottenham Hotspur aims to bolster their squad for the upcoming season. The club has reportedly set its sights on procuring Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali, a player recognized as a pivotal figure for both Italy and Newcastle.

Details: According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham has joined the race for Tonali, with Brighton’s manager Roberto De Zerbi expressing a strong interest in making the midfielder a central figure in his lineup. De Zerbi believes that Tonali could elevate the team’s performance significantly.

Tottenham is gearing up to compete against premier clubs including Manchester City and Arsenal for the Italian international’s signature.

In addition, it appears that 26-year-old Spanish right-back Pedro Porro is nearing a contract extension with Tottenham, further indicating the club’s intent to solidify its roster.

Not long ago Tottenham’s official website and their X social media accounts announced that the club had signed a new contract with the 33-year-old Welsh centre-back.
