Manchester United has clarified its position regarding striker Marcus Rashford, stating that it will not engage in negotiations with Barcelona for a new loan deal. The Catalan club previously allowed a €30 million buyout option for the 28-year-old England international to expire. While Barcelona executives were open to discussing an extension of the forward’s loan for another season, Manchester United’s management has ruled out this possibility.

Details: According to Transfer News Live, citing ESPN, Manchester United is now focused solely on a permanent transfer for Rashford and will not entertain another loan arrangement.

The club is actively collaborating with football intermediaries and agents to identify potential buyers and gather official offers for Rashford from other teams. This move appears to be a strategy by Old Trafford to offload the academy product, aiming to reduce the wage bill and generate funds for the upcoming summer transfer window.

This season, Rashford has recorded 49 appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing 14 assists. Transfermarkt currently values him at €49 million.
