The Saudi Pro League has officially announced its Player of the Season for 2025/26, surprising many by choosing not Cristiano Ronaldo for the honor. Instead, the accolade went to Portuguese forward João Félix.
Al-Nassr secured their first league title since the 2018/19 season after a decisive 4-1 victory over Damac in the final match. Following this triumph, it was anticipated that the league’s top individual award would be awarded to one of the players under coach Jorge Jesus.
João Félix, who joined Al-Nassr in July 2025, made a significant impact on the team. Over the course of the season, he appeared in 47 matches across all competitions, scoring a total of 26 goals and providing 19 assists. Notably, 20 of those goals and 14 assists were recorded in league matches.
