Magesi FC experienced a significant triumph in the Betway Premiership, defeating Durban City 5-2 in a match held yesterday at Seshego Stadium. This decisive victory has propelled the team from the bottom of the PSL table to the 14th position, placing them in a more secure position regarding relegation.

Coach Allan Freese expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, stating, “That was our aim today, today’s aim was let’s move away from there and we did. So, I’m very happy about that.” The result is particularly important as Magesi approaches the final stretch of the season.

The win has instilled confidence in Freese and his players, who now look forward to their next five matches against TS Galaxy, Orbit College, Orlando Pirates, Siwelele FC, and Richards Bay. “It gives us good hope that we are going to the right direction, very good hope that we are going to the right direction,” he noted.

Magesi’s next challenge will come on Sunday when they face TS Galaxy, as they aim to maintain their momentum and secure their place in the league.
