The kickoff of the match between Almería and Málaga has been delayed by an hour due to serious disturbances involving fans of both teams. The fixture will now begin at 21:30 instead of the originally scheduled time, following a series of incidents near the stadium.
Reports indicate that Almería locals had been raising concerns since early morning regarding the behavior of Málaga supporters who had arrived in the city. Witnesses reported that the visiting fans engaged in offensive chants directed at both the club and the city, set off firecrackers, and left litter in the Vega de Acá district.
The most serious incident occurred shortly before the match was scheduled to begin, when the Málaga team bus was attacked by radical home supporters who hurled stones at the vehicle. As a result, police intervened, blocking the bus for nearly an hour to prevent further clashes, which directly led to the postponement of the kickoff.
Currently, the situation is under police control, and the match is set to proceed with increased security measures around the stadium. Notably, the winner of this match will earn promotion to La Liga.
