Rasmus Hojlund Set for Permanent Move to Napoli After Champions League Qualification Win

The recent 3-0 victory over Pisa secured Champions League qualification for Napoli, triggering the permanent move of Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United. Hojlund celebrated the occasion by scoring and assisting in the match.

Following the win, he shared an emotional farewell message to Manchester United, signifying the importance of his departure.

With the transfer now finalized, Hojlund shifts his focus entirely to Napoli, where Coach Antonio Conte is eager to see the young striker develop.

In his post-match comments, Conte emphasized the need for Hojlund to focus on continuous improvement. “He’s really young, only 23, and he needs to understand that he needs to make the most of every single day to improve,” the coach stated.

Conte further remarked, “I think he [Hojlund] has enormous room for growth to become a truly strong striker. He needs to put his head down and work, blindly believe in what the coach tells him, and continue doing what he’s already doing with great commitment.”

While his remarks highlighted Hojlund’s progress, they also contained a clear message: further development will require hard work, discipline, and trust in the coaching process.

This season, Hojlund has made significant contributions to Napoli, registering 15 goals and six assists in 43 appearances, with one match remaining.

His last game will be against Udinese on Sunday, 24 May, offering him another opportunity to boost his statistics before officially becoming a permanent Napoli player.

Looking ahead, he should be aware that expectations will be even higher next season.
