Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise has been awarded the title of best footballer for the 2025/26 Bundesliga season. The French midfielder received the prestigious honor prior to the championship trophy ceremony held at Munich’s Allianz Arena.
The 24-year-old was presented with the award by German Football League (DFL) managing directors Marc Lenz and Steffen Merkel. The DFL commended Olise’s performances, emphasizing his impact on the team’s overall play throughout the campaign.

He has become one of the brightest stars of the league, both domestically and on the international stage, DFL representatives noted.
During a remarkable season with the Munich giants, Olise recorded 15 goals and 19 assists. He has become the first Bundesliga player since the 2019/20 season to achieve a milestone of at least 15 goals and 15 assists in a single campaign.
This accolade marks another significant achievement for Olise, who was named Bundesliga Rookie of the Year last season and has now advanced to claim the title of the league’s best player overall.
