Cameroon’s U17 team is showing resilience in their ongoing campaign in Morocco after initially faltering against Ivory Coast in their opening match. The Young Lions have rebounded impressively, securing two consecutive victories.
Following a crucial win against Uganda, the team clinched a narrow 1-0 victory over the Democratic Republic of Congo on Tuesday, May 19. This win allowed Cameroon to finish second in Group B, just behind Ivory Coast, and advance to the quarter-finals of the competition.
In addition to their quarter-final qualification, Cameroon’s U17s have also earned a spot in the upcoming U17 World Cup, matching their counterparts from Ivory Coast in this achievement.
