Shortly after her appointment, Nguele Valentine unveiled the extended squad for the Indomitable Lionesses, the Cameroonian women’s football team, as they prepare for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations scheduled this summer in Morocco.

The team is currently gearing up for the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations. Although they have completed several training camps, they were unable to participate in a planned international friendly match against Morocco during the June international break.

On June 12, Nguele Valentine was appointed head coach of the Indomitable Lionesses, and the following day, she announced a provisional list of 41 players for the tournament. This squad includes 6 goalkeepers, 11 defenders, 12 midfielders, and 12 forwards.

In the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Cameroon has been drawn in Group D, where they will compete against Ghana, Mali, and Cape Verde.
