Casemiro Bids Emotional Farewell to Manchester United Fans After Final Match
Following an emotional last game at Old Trafford for Casemiro, in which the Red Devils beat Nottingham Forest 3-2, the Brazilian has taken to social media to say farewell.
The 34-year-old is set to leave the club upon the expiration of his contract and was given a classy farewell by Red Devils fans at the Theatre of Dreams, including a banner commemorating his services for the club.
After a perfect final occasion for the Reds, Casemiro has posted a heartfelt goodbye message on Instagram.
“There are places we pass through in life… and there are places that become part of who we are. Manchester will forever be my home. To the city, the club, and every supporter, my sincerest thank you. These past four years have been unforgettable, filled with moments my family and I will carry with us for the rest of our lives. There simply aren’t enough words to describe the happiness and warmth we’ve felt here. Thank you for every cheer, every memory, and for making us feel at home from the very first day. Forever a Red Devil [followed with a red heart emoji]”
It’s a fitting message that will fill Manchester United fans’ hearts with pride. The Brazilian had his ups and downs during his four-year stint at the club, but for the most part, he was a credit to himself and the organization.
Casemiro will still take to the field one last time in a Manchester United shirt, against Brighton & Hove Albion on the final day of the Premier League season.
This match will provide him with one final special moment with the fans before departing the club upon the expiration of his contract. What a servant he has been.
