Celtic in Talks for Young Sensation Agustin Dos Santos

Reports from Uruguay, as cited by The Daily Record, indicate that Celtic is in discussions with Nacional regarding a summer transfer for Agustin Dos Santos. The talented young player has a contract running until December 2027, and Celtic is also negotiating with the player’s agent in an effort to finalize the deal.

The 18-year-old Uruguay youth international has risen through Nacional’s academy ranks, making four senior appearances last season for his boyhood club. Dos Santos is currently enjoying a breakout season, having played 14 times across all competitions this term, according to Transfermarket.

Belonging to a well-known football family, Agustin’s father, Jonathan, is a former Mexico international who played for America in Liga MX. The 36-year-old midfielder has represented clubs such as Barcelona, Villarreal, and LA Galaxy before joining the Eagles in 2021. Agustin’s uncle, Giovani, shares a similar footballing background, having made over 100 appearances for El Tri.
