Celtic Winger Luis Palma Might Secure Permanent Move to Lech Poznan Following Two Offers
Last summer, after six months at Olympiacos, Celtic winger Luis Palma joined Polish top flight side Lech Poznan on a season-long loan.
The 26-year-old has played a limited role this season, starting just 16 times in the league. However, he has made notable contributions, scoring eight goals and providing five assists.
Despite struggling to win over half of their games, Lech Poznan is on the verge of clinching the Ekstraklasa title, needing just one victory from their final two matches to secure the championship.
According to Honduran journalist, Alvaro De La Rocha, the Polish club has submitted its second offer to Celtic for Palma. The initial bid of 1.5 million Euros was rejected, while the latest offer has increased to 2.3 million Euros, with no official response from Celtic thus far.
To conclude, De La Rocha notes that the option to purchase Palma with the loan is set at 4 million Euros, but Lech Poznan is not in a position to finalize the deal at that price. Consequently, they are looking to negotiate with Celtic.
Some may argue that for a relatively small amount, keeping Palma could be wise, as his statistics during his 18 months at Celtic Park were decent considering he did not enjoy regular playing time.
