Chelsea’s left winger and Ukraine international Mykhailo Mudryk is embroiled in a significant legal and financial controversy in the UK. The London High Court has ordered the freezing of the 25-year-old footballer’s assets, which amount to a staggering £2.5 million.
Details: In an exclusive interview with Sport-Express.ua, Themis Sagirov, founder of JJDS Management Limited, the company that initiated the lawsuit, provided insights into this high-profile case. The court action arises from substantial debts that Mudryk allegedly owes related to sponsorship agreements.
The total claims against Mudryk are approximately £6 million. This figure includes €2.4 million under consideration by a court in Cyprus as lost profit, attributed to Mudryk allegedly refusing to sign contracts with certain companies, which has resulted in penalties. Additionally, there is a claim of $2.8 million in the UK.
In response to the allegations, the London High Court has not only frozen Mudryk’s assets—including his property, luxury vehicles, and bank accounts—but has also imposed strict personal spending limits on him. He is now restricted to spending no more than £5,000 per week and is required to submit detailed documentation regarding the sources of his income.
