After parting ways with Henrik Rydström on Sunday, the Columbus Crew announced today at 11:30 a.m. that Laurent Courtois will take over managing duties for the foreseeable future.
According to an article from Dan Aulbach of the Columbus Dispatch, Courtois was promoted from his role as an assistant, and previously managed Montreal CF in 2024.
Aulbach also reported that Courtois led Montreal to an eighth-place regular season finish, and a postseason appearance. He was let go just five games into last season after Montreal failed to win a game through their first five matches through all competitions.
Columbus has just two games remaining before the international break and currently sits four points outside of a play-in spot, and five points off a playoff position.
