Following a successful start against Ecuador, Ivory Coast heads into their second World Cup match in Group E with renewed confidence. The upcoming match against Germany, scheduled for Saturday, June 20, is poised to be crucial, potentially positioning the Elephants closer to advancing in the tournament taking place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

In a recent press conference, manager Emerse Fae articulated the team’s ambitions for the tournament. Ivory Coast aims to finish at the top of Group E, which would mark a historic qualification for the second round of the World Cup.

Fae noted, “The victory in our first match has given us a great deal of confidence. It allows us to approach this match with greater composure and calm. Our objective is clear: to finish top of the group and secure our place in the second round. That would be a historic result for us.”
