Tottenham Hotspur Shows Interest in Marcus Rashford Amid Ongoing Transfer Rumors
Rumors are circulating regarding Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in acquiring Marcus Rashford from Manchester United this summer. Reports from multiple sources, including Sky Sports, the BBC, and the Spanish outlet Sport, indicate that Tottenham has expressed “genuine interest” in the attacker.
Tottenham is considered a potential fallback option if Rashford’s anticipated move to Barcelona does not materialize. While their interest appears serious, it hinges significantly on the team’s Premier League status, as they are currently positioned near the bottom of the table, around 18th place, just a few points above the relegation zone as of late April 2026.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi, or whoever holds the managerial position by that time, is reportedly ready to offer Rashford a prominent role in the attack. The arrangement could either be a permanent transfer or a loan; however, the financial aspect, given Rashford’s high wages at United, may present challenges.
In the 2025/26 season, Rashford’s performance at Barcelona, where he is currently on loan from Manchester United, has been commendable, showcasing strong goal contributions despite often starting on the bench or being substituted in.
