Everton are actively pursuing the signing of Juventus centre-back Federico Gatti this summer. According to the Italian outlet Tuttosport and Sport Witness, the Toffees and Nottingham Forest are the leading contenders for the 27-year-old defender’s signature. Both clubs expressed interest in bringing Gatti to England last summer.

Everton Pursues Juventus Defender Federico Gatti Ahead of Summer Transfer Window

Gatti has seen limited playing time since Luciano Spalletti took the helm at Juventus, with the manager opting for a back three featuring Pierre Kalulu, Gleison Bremer, and Lloyd Kelly. This shift in the lineup has made Gatti available for transfer, despite him having signed a new contract in Turin last July. Transfermarkt values him at €16 million, but Juventus are reportedly seeking around €25 million for the defender.

AC Milan continues to monitor the situation, while Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, has shown interest. Additionally, Galatasaray has already sent a representative to Turin for discussions. Gatti brings significant aerial strength and strong clearance stats, though concerns remain regarding his passing and discipline in a high defensive line. Juventus appears willing to sell the defender to help finance their own summer signings.
