FC Dallas Ends Road Winless Streak with 2-0 Victory Over New York Red Bulls

Peter Musa scored in the 54th minute, leading FC Dallas to a 2-0 win against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday night in Harrison, N.J. This victory marked the end of an 11-game road winless streak for Dallas in all competitions.

With this win, Dallas (4-3-4, 16 points) secured its first road victory in the series since a 2-1 win on May 24, 2006, at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The team had been 0-9-2 in its previous visits to the Red Bulls, including a penalty shootout loss in U.S. Open Cup competition on May 21, 2025.

Musa netted his league-leading 10th goal by taking advantage of a defensive lapse by New York. Left unmarked near the left side of the net by Red Bulls defender Matthew Dos Santos, Musa received a pass from Ran Binyamin and fired a right-footed shot past goalkeeper Ethan Horvath. This goal came after Musa missed last week’s 2-1 loss to the Seattle Sounders due to injury, contributing to Dallas snapping a four-game winless streak.

Samuel Sarver added a second goal with a header in the 88th minute, assisted by Logan Farrington. This goal followed a crucial block by midfielder Ramiro Benetti against New York’s Rafael Mosquera just two minutes prior.

In addition to Musa’s performance, FC Dallas showcased strong defensive play. Despite New York controlling 61.2% of the game’s possession, Dallas limited the Red Bulls to just seven shot attempts, with goalkeeper Michael Collodi recording a shutout without facing a single shot on goal.

New York (3-5-2, 12 points) suffered its second consecutive loss and third shutout overall, extending its winless streak to four games (0-3-1). The Red Bulls’ record has now dropped to 1-5-2 after a promising start with two consecutive wins.

Horvath made four saves, keeping New York competitive by denying Musa’s header in the 11th minute, along with multiple shots from Binyamin in the first half.
